Marc and Dante second after exciting jump-off in main class MET Oliva
Marc concluded a strong week on the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour (MET) in style by peaking with Sterrehof’s Dante N.O.P. in the Oliva Grand Prix.
Under the Spanish Spring sun, our duo already jumped superbly in the difficult first round of this 1.50m class. Only eight of 44 combinations managed to stay clear and deserved a ticket for the jump-off. Dante and Marc had the last starting position in this decisive round and went all out for the win. Once again they left all the poles in the cups, took a lot of risks in between the fences and came close to the leading time of Frenchman Julien Epaillard. At the finish line they missed it by only 14-hundredths of a second, but were much faster than the remaining competition and got rewarded with a beautiful second place.
Sterrehof’s Calimero
This Sunday Sterrehof’s Calimero was also on a roll in a 1.45m class against the clock. He jumped an excellent clear and qualified himself among the prize winners. Earlier during this successful closing week of the Spanish Spring Tour Marc managed to achieve nice results with Holy Moley, owned by Fred Lodewijk.
