Emotion
A life filled with horses is never dull and always full of emotions. At one occasion in particular all things really fell into place for us. In 2015, Sterrehof’s Opium said farewell to the sport during Jumping Amsterdam. He was honoured before the eyes of thousands of equestrian sport lovers. It felt like a true tribute.
Highlight
If there is one person to whom Opium meant everything, it’s Marc Houtzager. Together they made their way to international top-level showjumping and they stood side by side in the Amsterdam spotlights throughout Opium’s goodbye, which was cause for a lot of emotions on the part of Opium’s regular groom Madeleine Broek as well. In one of the photos it’s even as if the main character in all this is moved to tears.
