Change of rider for several Sterrehof horses

The latest news from Sterrehof stud

Great Blue, Felisimo and Henna to the Houtzager Stable, Happy Boy to Greeve

Several of our future prospects have recently had a change of rider. The five year old Happy Boy (s. Numero Uno) has left our stud farm towards the stable of Michael Greeve in Veeningen. This newborn couple already made a successful debut at national 1.20m level. Happy Boy’s half-sister Sterrehof’s Felisimo (s. Sterrehof’s Opium) is on her turn no longer under the saddle of Greeve but has moved to the Houtzager-Kayser Stable. Marc Houtzager started this seven year old talent recently at the CSI of Opglabbeek.

Great Blue and Henna

Two other Sterrehof horses followed Felisimo’s example by moving towards Rouveen. At first Sterrehof’s Great Blue. This six year old KWPN and Westfalian approved stallion has been schooled successfully by Caroline Müller. Because of her pregnancy our stallion is now in the capable hands of Roy Weel, who is stable rider at Marc and Julia’s place.

Also Henna S (picture) made a move towards the Houtzager-Kayser Stable. This five year old talented mare from Sterrehof’s Opium and Sterrehof’s Ushi, will be ridden by Julia and therewith follows her mother’s footsteps. Ushi, a daughter of former world champion Vigo d’Arsouilles out of the famous Qerly Chin dam line, herself has been retired from the sport and is now at our stud farm for breeding.
