Calimero wins Grand Prix of Drachten, Cayetano fourth!

A great start of the year for us and for Stable Houtzager-Kayser. Our Sterrehof’s Calimero won with Marc the main class of the CSI3* Indoor Drachten and it was his parther Julia who steered Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z to an excellent fourth place.

Marc and Calimero were the last ones to start in the jump-off. Marc knew what to do. Together with his great four-legged partner he was able to break the leading time with almost a second. Afterwards Marc said over the ten year old son of Quidam de Revel: “Sterrehof’s Calimero was bought by Sterrehof Stud at the stallion approvals. When he was six years old he came to my place. He always had the talent and I surely see him as potential Nations Cup horse for the Netherlands.’

As mentioned Julia and Cayetano produced the icing on the cake. They also had a clear round in the jump-off. Their fourth place was a confirmation of the good form both show already for a longer time.
