Three out of three at Grand Prix of Opglabbeek

The latest news from Sterrehof stud

Edinus, Dante and Eddie Blue in the prize giving ceremony

Three of our horses were on the startlist of the CSI2* Opglabbeek Grand Prix in Sentower Park. Only nine of the in total 73 horses were able to stay clear in this class at 1.45m. Two Sterrehof horses just missed the jump-off. Eight year old Sterrehof’s Eddie Blue (s. Mr. Blue) had one rail down with his rider Roy Weel. Their fast round made them finish at the final spot of the prize giving ceremony. Sterrehof’s Dante was able to clear all the fences but not within the time allowed. Together with Julia Houtzager-Kayser the daughter of Canturano finished 14th.

But we still had one ace in the final round. Edinus (picture) impressed again with Marc Houtzager and the eight year old son of Padinus was on pole position for a good result. Regretfully he finished on 8 penalty points in the jump-off but together with this result we had three out of three horses in the top part of the end result.
