Ideal start of a new season
A new season at the fresh pasture has started for our youngsters! After all the horses had been trimmed by the farrier and thanks to the past day’s beautiful weather it was now the perfect time. As always we turn them out in small groups, separated by gender and also by age. We keep the yearling colts apart from the two-year-olds, because of the increasing dominance of the latter. The fillies are initially separated by age but we put them fairly quickly together. The aim is to keep the young horses in the meadow until beginning of November. They are daily checked so we can always keep an eye on things.
Impression & Sterrehof movie
At our stables this annual ritual remains a wonderful moment to witness. Below you can see a short impression and below that you find a more extensive film about the management and training of the Sterrehof Stud’s horses.
