Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z impresses in Grand Prix of Hagen, Sterrehof’s Dante in qualifier
Not for the first time, the well-known four-star show Horses & Dreams in Hagen has brought good results for our horses. On the appealing showground of Hof Kasselmann, Sterrehof’s Cayetano Z and Julia once again demonstrated their potential in a tough 1.60m Grand Prix. The strikingly bred stallion, which has produced offspring for the first time this season, belonged together with its rider to only eleven combinations of the fifty starters who finished the first round without a jumping fault. However, they didn’t manage to stay within the short time allowed, something that happened to five of the eleven combinations mentioned. In the second round this result repeated itself. A total of four combinations in this winning round crossed the finish line with a single time fault, including Cayetano, who eventually clinched eighth spot in this first stage of the prestigious Riders Tour. It was a fitting finale after a strong multi-day performance by Cayetano in Hagen.
Constantly strong Dante
Sterrehof’s Dante also deserved a big compliment after her strong performances at Hof Kasselmann. She peaked on Saturday in the 1.50m class, a qualifier for the Grand Prix. With Marc, the mare stayed convincingly clear in the opening round, after which she again demonstrated her competitiveness by finishing fourth in a jump-off with sixteen candidates. On Sunday the form was still there in the Grand Prix, the toughest class Dante jumped with Marc to date. Despite a jumping fault, Dante again left a great impression, as she has already done successively in recent months!
