Sterrehof Stud’s leading horses placed in most important 5* classes
The first five-star competition of the indoor season has been successful for both Sterrehof’s Dante (photo) and Sterrehof’s Calimero. Dante continued her 2019 successes by excelling in Saturday’s main class the Equita Masters of Lyon. In both rounds of this 1.60m class Dante and Marc staid convincingly clear. A total of only four combinations realised this result. After a fast second round our duo clinched a great third place. It was already Dante’s eighth top 3 result in 2019.
Calimero in World Cup and Grand Prix
During the two other 1.60m classes of this FEI World Cup show in Lyon, Calimero took the honours. First of all, there was a beautiful seventh place in the Longines Grand Prix on Friday evening. The clear round of Marc and the twelve-year-old son of Quidam de Revel was followed by a fast jump-off, which unfortunately resulted in one jumping fault.
In the World Cup competition on Sunday, our duo achieved a similar result. The first round was impressive and gave them a ticket for the jump-off. A single jumping fault followed in this decisive round, at the end good for a twelfth position and some valuable world cup points.
