Dante and Marc finish fifth in the CSI5* Grand Prix
Sterrehof’s Dante had her definitive breakthrough in a five-star Grand Prix during the Longines Global Champions Tour of Saint Tropez. The eleven-year-old daughter of Canturano had already a fantastic year with Marc and showed in the Côte d’Azur that she could also compete against the best at the highest level. In this appealing GCT stage’s main class our duo belonged to the fourteen clears. Dante, competitive as ever, also realised a convincing clear round in the jump-off, which put her and Marc on fifth place. It was Marc’s best result to date of his 2019 GCT campaign, after he finished sixth in Paris with Sterrehof’s Calimero before.

Together with his strong teammate Niels Bruynseels (Gancia de Muze), Marc clinched sixth spot in a field of sixteen teams. In the standings, the Lions are now placed ninth and en route towards the grand finale in Prague.
Eleven top 5 results
The performance in Saint Tropez is a new highlight in what already was a very successful year for Sterrehof’s Dante. In total she has now achieved eleven international top 5 results, in which a beautiful upward trend is visible. During winter, our mare finished among others second in 1.45m classes in Kronenberg and Dortmund. In the outdoor season she won the CSI3 * Jumping Schröder Tubbergen’s 1.45m Grand Prix, was second in the Championship of Villach, triumphed in the 1.50m class at CHIO Twente and finished fifth in the famous Prize of Europe at CHIO Aachen.
