Sterrehof Stud prominent at biggest international show of the province of Gelderland
The successful 2023 edition of Outdoor Gelderland at the appealing competition venue of Paardensportcentrum Lichtenvoorde in Vragender excited us as sponsors, owners, breeders and horse sport lovers!
Future star Klasse
At the most beautiful show of Gelderland we first of all welcomed our great Sterrehof’s Calimero back at international level. Together with Marc he jumped some classes of the CSI3* tour and did that very promising. In the CSI1* tour there was even a leading role for our future star Klasse EB (photo above). The only eight-year-old mare jumped well all days and excelled with Marc in the Grand Prix by finishing fantastic fourth after a convincing clear in the jump-off.
Stoeterij Sterrehof Trophy
The future also looked bright in our ‘own’ Stoeterij Sterrehof Trophy. In the 1.20m final on Friday, victory went to our breeding product Mercurius S (photo below). Sterrehof’s Ushi’s talented six-year-old grandson jumped to an unbeatable result in the jump-off with rider Maxime van Andel.
The other finals of this competition for combinations at lower national level, which is a tradition at Outdoor Gelderland, took place on Wednesday and Sunday. The 1.10m final even opened this show and was won by Daphne Mol and her Lemoncello. Our rider Edward van den Bragt noted a nice result in this final after a double clear with Toulady Z. The last day started with the 1.30m class. Also this Sterrehof Trophy final had strong winners, this time named Luke Hill and Louay Fortuna.
As in previous editions, on Friday the Stoeterij Sterrehof Prize was scheduled as the main CSI3* class. Several big names came out on top in this difficult 1.50m event but it were Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmerman and Cornela, who managed to take the win.
Last but not least, ParaPaard was this year’s Outdoor Gelderland’s choice of charity. That made this edition even more special, as Sterrehof Stud has supported ParaPaard for many years and is happy to do so. You can read more about it on our site.
