Two embryo’s out of Sterrehof’s Ushi auctioned

Last week two direct embryos out of our fantastic broodmare  Sterrehof’s Ushi, both of them implanted in recipient mares, were sold through two online auctions. The embryo by the combination Emerald x Sterrehof’s Ushi belonged to the collection of Horsesales.Auction ‘Breeding Auction: The Next Level’. It was a German buyer who had the last offer. Three days later, the embryo by Chacco Blue x Sterrehof’s Ushi was sold at the Zangersheide Online Auction. This genetic top combination realised an even tougher bidding duel. A buyer from the United States was the most persistent and became the new owner of this embryo, that belonged to the auction’s top sellers.

Granddam Narcotique de Muze II

Based on the fantastic results we can say that Ushi’s genes are sought after. And that makes sense. Sterrehof’s Ushi is by world champion Vigo d’Arsouilles and jumped several years in a row successfully at 1.60m Grand Prix level with Julia Houtzager-Kayser. She is out of the world-famous Narcotique de Muze/Qerly Chin dam line and her dam is a half-sister to five 1.60m horses and five approved stallions, all directly bred out of Narcotique de Muze II (1.60m).

Ushi’s offspring

Nowadays Ushi shows herself in breeding. Goliath S, her very first offspring, is performing at international 1.45m level. At Sterrehof Stud we still have several young offspring of her, like the colts Orion S, Chapeau S Z and Catch of the Day S Z and the filly Cerly, a full sister to mentioned Chapeau en Catch of the Day. In addition, there is also the talented Mercurius S, bred out of Henna S, a direct daughter of Sterrehof’s Ushi.
